We are excited to announce the Annual North Idaho Veterans Stand Down. This year’s event will be held again, at the North Idaho Fairgrounds/Jacklin Building, on Saturday, May 17^th from 8:00am – 1:00pm. We have over 30 years of helping homeless and struggling veterans and their families secure housing, find employment, finance educational pursuits and so much more. Over 30,000 have attended the Stand Down during this time frame.

As you know, veterans and their families continue to face challenges. The Stand Down offers an excellent opportunity to help veterans connect with organizations which provide the services needed to overcome the difficult challenges faced every day. The goal of the program is to identify veterans needing service and to raise enough funds to help serve them throughout the year. Since January 2021, North Idaho Veterans Stand Down, Inc. has donated over $35,000.00 to help veterans with needs such as rent/housing, utility payments, medical bills, dental services, food, etc.

Have you ever wanted to show your support for The North Idaho Veterans Stand Down mission, but you weren’t sure how?  The Hayden Chamber has taken an active role in collecting and distributing the food donations over the last few years and would love your support as a Chamber member!

The North Idaho Veterans Stand Down takes place on Saturday, May 17th, 2024, and we are in desperate need of food donations for our annual upcoming event.  We are looking for non-perishable items, such as canned food, boxed food, cases of water, toiletry items, paper products, baby food and diapers and even dog and cat food.  We hope to be able to give, every Veteran that comes to the Stand Down, a grocery bag full to take home.
